My artwork, titled "Reflecting," was inspired by a photograph taken by photographer Ross during an underwater shoot of me free diving at Portencross in August 2022. In this painting, I decided to enhance the hair color, opting for a vibrant shade of red to create a striking contrast against the blue sky. Additionally, I carefully considered the reflection below me, incorporating a vibrant red ripple against the serene blue sea. The title "Reflecting" not only refers to the presence of a reflection in the painting but also symbolizes the introspective nature of the artwork, as it portrays a girl deep in thought, contemplating life.
