About Just Chilin'
Just Chilin' was created in June 2019, inspired by a photograph shared by a friend on Instagram, @cpengilly. I decided to make some alterations to the colours, aiming to capture the vibrant and joyful essence of summer. The turquoise sea reminiscent of the Caribbean, the cloudless bright blue sky, and the contrasting red bikini all contribute to the overall composition. This painting seeks to convey the sensation of reclining in the warm summer sea, basking in the gentle touch of the sun on your face.
